Edition Residences Edgewater (Biscayne 21)

CATEGORY D — CONDO TERMINATION FAILURE, ILLEGAL DEMOLITION, COURT ORDERED RESTORATION: Two Roads Development bought 183 of 192 units, then started demolishing the 1964 Biscayne 21 building while a lawsuit from 9 holdout owners was still pending. The courts ruled against the developer — holdout owners won in July 2025. Florida Supreme Court refused to hear developer's appeal in October 2025. A circuit court judge then ordered the developer to RESTORE the building to a habitable state. The building is currently gutted, stripped of windows, no utilities — uninhabitable. Repair cost estimated at $60M+. In May 2026, three buyers who signed pre-construction contracts in 2023 (expecting delivery by June 2028) sued the developer to recover $2.5M in deposits. This is one of the most egregious pre-construction case studies in Miami history: developer demolished a 192-unit building around 9 residents who refused to leave — and lost. The view

We haven't screened the lots around Edition Residences Edgewater (Biscayne 21) yet. A neighbour isn't always a deal-breaker: Brickell buyers still bought at Flatiron, SLS Lux and The Bond with towers all around. What matters is knowing which lines keep the view before you pick one.
